Working on Music
I almost forgot to write a blog post today! Yesterday, I finally posted a song cover onto my YouTube channel. Since I used someone else’s instrumental, I can’t monetize it on Spotify or iTunes. That’s okay though, because I don’t think that song will get a lot of views. I just kind of sang it for the fun of it. I took another song cover I did before though and submit it through Soundrop forread more
Success Triggers by Ramit Sethi – Failure
Something I’ve failed at multiple times is making a significant amount of passive income per month (at least $1000/month). It’s important to me still because I want to have enough to cover basic expenses without having to worry about trading in my time for money. I want to choose what I do each day rather than be forced to do something just to pay the bills. I know $1000/month isn’t a lot, but it’s aread more
NLP Practitioner Course by David Key for $7
Today, I was browsing on Facebook when this ad caught my eye. There was a $7 NLP online course for certification (by David Key). I checked it out, was convinced to try it, submitted my payment info, and waited to receive the email. Least to say, I wasn’t very impressed. The portal for the course seemed pretty outdated in how it was presented. I found the main page where it breaks down into lessons. Thereread more
Should You Time Log?
Today, Steve Pavlina posted a video about how he’s doing a 30-day trial of time logging. He already started last week. Rather than tracking every minute (e.g. 10:00AM – 10:15AM – Answered emails, 10:15AM – 10:20AM – Bathroom break, etc.), he suggested a simplified version on his blog that tracks activity at every hour (e.g. 5 – woke up and went for a run, 6 – ate breakfast, 7 – took a shower, etc.). Iread more
Success Triggers by Ramit Sethi – Intelligent Risks
One area that I want to keep stable is how the voice acts throughout the day. I definitely want it to stay quiet during the day when I’m active, when I take a shower, and when I go for a walk. I’d ideally like it to stay quiet all day and night long. But nowadays, it does talk sometimes in the evenings or right before I fall asleep. When it talks, I usually get stressedread more
Sometimes, I Feel Stupid
There were times when I thought I was pretty smart, but nowadays, I feel pretty average. Once in a while, I feel stupid. I don’t think that’s a bad thing. I don’t feel down on myself just because I’m not as smart as other people. I just realize there’s a lot out there that I don’t know. When I think about starting a business, I feel like I only possess a limited amount of knowledge.read more
Why You Shouldn’t Feel Like a Failure
Failure is inevitable. We all make mistakes in our life. We all fell down many times before we took our first step. We all babble random sounds until we say our first word. So, failure isn’t something to fear. Also, failure isn’t something we “are”. Failure is just something we experience. And, that is subjective. For example, some people would consider it a failure to receive any mark lower than an A+ in a subject.read more
What Should I Do
Yesterday, I wrote a post, but ended up setting it to private. I took a break from Success Triggers. This is my second day of not continuing Success Triggers. What’s holding me back is seeing the action I have to take in the next lesson. It’s a step from previous lessons. I thought about skipping it and coming back to it later. Maybe that’s what I’ll do tomorrow. What is my purpose in writing allread more
Success Triggers by Ramit Sethi – Book Buying Rule
One book I thought about buying but never did was Becoming by Michelle Obama. I wondered if it would be overrated. But now that I’m thinking about it, there’s a lot I could learn from her. Even if there was just one worthwhile idea in the book, that would be worth it. I used to look at the reviews and debate over spending the $11. I should have just spent it. I think I justread more
Success Triggers by Ramit Sethi – When
One thing I’ve been thinking about is working with music producers or collabing with other artists in producing songs that I can post to streaming services. If I want to learn more about working with other producers/artists, I could research it for two weeks. My first step is to do a simple Google or YouTube search. I’ve looked into it before, but I was just worried about not knowing the best practices. Since original musicread more
