Yesterday, I wrote a post, but ended up setting it to private. I took a break from Success Triggers. This is my second day of not continuing Success Triggers. What’s holding me back is seeing the action I have to take in the next lesson. It’s a step from previous lessons. I thought about skipping it and coming back to it later. Maybe that’s what I’ll do tomorrow. What is my purpose in writing allread more

One book I thought about buying but never did was Becoming by Michelle Obama. I wondered if it would be overrated. But now that I’m thinking about it, there’s a lot I could learn from her. Even if there was just one worthwhile idea in the book, that would be worth it. I used to look at the reviews and debate over spending the $11. I should have just spent it. I think I justread more

One thing I’ve been thinking about is working with music producers or collabing with other artists in producing songs that I can post to streaming services. If I want to learn more about working with other producers/artists, I could research it for two weeks. My first step is to do a simple Google or YouTube search. I’ve looked into it before, but I was just worried about not knowing the best practices. Since original musicread more

These are three personal habits that I would like to improve: 1) Keeping my belongings organized2) Going on the walking route I take at least 3 times (currently walk it 2 times max)3) Washing/moisturizing my face daily For keeping my belongings organized, I could throw/put away one item daily. For walking, I could start with walking however much I normally walk the first day, and then each day walk back home after taking an additionalread more

One thing that I can change just to test it out is my response to, “What do you do for a living?” For one, I don’t really “work for a living”. I don’t worry about making money. I just do what I want to do. I could say I experiment with different types of work from freelancing to online ventures. I have my own blog website and I experimented with publishing music on YouTube andread more

Sometimes, I suddenly feel inspired or feel a short burst of motivation to produce a song. If I act when it happens, I can finish anywhere from 80-100% of the song. I haven’t found a better system for producing music when inspiration hits. I just do it when it comes and get as much done as possible. But, these moments are rare. So, I don’t produce as much music as I could if I haveread more

One decision I made based on someone’s reputation was to restrict them on Instagram. They had a reputation of messaging daily, usually the same questions, and always expecting a reply. So first, I limited their interactions. And then when I posted something, they left several angry comments. Seeing this to be a pattern of their behavior (constantly demanding attention from me), I blocked them. Had they not messaged me daily from the beginning and leftread more

I’ve been undervaluing myself in producing music. I always wonder, “Is it worth it to buy a beat or hire a music producer just for me to produce a song?” Of course it’s worth it, for more than just the money too. It’s a growth experience. I guess I’m waiting until I have a large fanbase or until I have lots of money to spare. But, lots of artists start off small and grow biggerread more

I remember learning about building a personal portfolio from Ramit before, probably from when I first took the Success Triggers course. However, I forgot about it in following years. Basically, the idea is to add any accomplishments to your portfolio every so often (like maybe once a month). That way, when you need it later (for a resume or bringing up for a job promotion), it will be ready for you for the most part.read more
